Keyhole

2007

While resident in the Curfew Tower I was fascinated by the tower’s front door. It was a huge, heavy, thick door befitting a former prison, with a large, rough-hewn keyhole. I liked to look through the keyhole and see people passing by; the tower is at the hub of a busy town and there’s a lot of coming and going.

I focused a camera through this hole and took a picture every 30 seconds for an hour, recording one hour out of one summer afternoon in Cushendall.
